02nd March - 5th March
We stayed a couple of days in Dunedin (or Dundan how the Daamen's call it haha).
The first day we did some sightseeing in Dunedin (we saw the first church, the second church the Cathedral, the university, the chinese gate thing and some nice old buildings).
My personal hightlight: Rick let me buy a new dress!! Well, new...a vintage dress. Suuuper cute!! I wore it immediatly (the last time I actually wore it cause it is not very practical for backpacking).
We stayed 2 nights at Ron and Jenns. Fantastic people. Unfortunatly Ron had to leave the next day but he still took us on a tiki tour with his Quad around the farm, we could come to see their angry bees (Beemaster Rick! I freaked out when they all sat on my had and ran away. He could really see inside the beehive and watch them working. They are very well organised and every bee has its own task).
They have a fantastic house with an amazing view (and they made White bait for us).
Some other highlight of our stay in Dunedin (the Edinburgh of the South);
I went to the dentist (mondhygenieste) - I know I am crazy but I want to take good care for my teeth.
That we met Ron and Jenn! Thank you again for the great time!
We went on a great beach walk and watched wild seals (the weather suddenly turned so we had to run back to Monty).
Rugby: We watched 'Highlanders' vs 'Crussaders'. We did not really get the rules but it was cool. After the game we had a lovely dinner at Lone star (where all the players came as well after the game) and a long walk back (never trust Ricks orientation at the night - daar krijg je haaientandjes van, haaienpootjes, kippenvleugels, kraaienogen etc. ).
